Lockton has launched a crisis management department

Chief insurance broker Lockton Company LLP has launched a Dedicated Crisis Management Unit in London.

Led by Matt Humphries, head of crisis management, the expert department sits in Lockton’s wholesale property and casualty activities. The 12 powerful teams will work closely with global customers on product recall, terrorism / political violence and special emergencies.

“This launch comes at a critical time where businesses are increasingly concerned about the ability to respond to harmful, unforeseen events,” Humphries said. “A dedicated unit will connect us more closely with our insurance partners and allow for closer collaboration.

“Effective crisis management goes beyond your traditional thematic insurance products. The importance and relevance of innovative products such as Crisis Response Cover, Active Shooter and Reputable Risk is growing.

Prior to his appointment as Head of Crisis Management, Humphries was responsible for product recall and brand damage as Lockton’s senior vice president.
