Aon Nordic hires CEO for business activities

Come on Johann Forsgard (pictured) has served as CEO of his Nordic region.

Forceguard, who officially joined the firm in the fourth quarter of 2022, had previously spent 16 years Willis Tower Watson (WTW). At WTW, he recently led the company’s Nordic business, and held the position of CEO to manage WTW in Sweden.

Aon also mentioned that Alan Denmark CEO and Nordic Chief Operating Officer Alan Carlsen will continue to lead the region with the Nordic leadership team next year.

“As CEO of Aeon Nordic Region, Johann will accelerate our Aeon United Growth Strategy as we expand this important region for our organization,” said Eoin EMEA CEO Eduardo DeVilla. “His appointment reflects Aon’s investment in both the best talent and his commitment to helping our more than 5,000 clients across the Nordics and mitigating current and emerging risks.”

The appointment of Forceguard comes just months after the mega-merger deal between Avon and Willis Tower Watson was canceled. The deal was initially managed to get even approval from the European Commission, but it resurfaced after the U.S. judiciary filed an anti-trust lawsuit against the two agencies. Both brokers eventually merged into the consolidation so that the consolidation was suspended.
